Get a partner (or anyone else!) involved in bedtime so you can head out for a date, meet up with friends, or just enjoy some downtime on the couch. A self-paced guide with a simple 5-week plan to help you introduce another caregiver to naps, bedtime or overnight settling! For responsive parents who need a break, without compromising their responsive parenting values. By Hannah Clark, Founder of Kin Postpartum

Get your partner (or anyone else!) involved in settling so you can head out for a date, meet up with friends, or just enjoy some downtime on the couch.

For responsive parents who need a break, without compromising their responsive parenting values.

Being a responsive parent doesn’t mean other people can’t settle your baby. But many parents (often mums) don’t know where to start - so they stay stuck.

Maybe you can relate:

👉You’d give your left arm (okay, maybe just a finger) for a stress-free night out, knowing your baby is happily settled with someone else. But honestly, that feels impossible right now so why bother trying.

👉You feel guilty even wanting this. You love your baby, but you also need a teensy bit of space… and that feels conflicting and stressful?!

👉And then there’s the worry. What if your baby cries the whole time? What if they won’t settle and you just need to turn around and come back anyway?

👉Meanwhile, you and your partner are deep in the roommate phase. And while you're both on the same page that this season is heavily focused on your kids - you'd love just a few hours out together to catch up.

Good news! You can be responsive and make space for yourself. It takes a little planning, though!

Which is exactly why I created my Date Night Guide -

To walk you through the practical steps to make it happen.

Hey there!

In case we haven’t met properly - Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m a Baby and Toddler Sleep Specialist and the Founder of Kin Postpartum Services.

I completed the Baby-Led Sleep & Wellbeing certification while pregnant with my second, and kept going with further learning in Neuroprotective Developmental Care.

And boy do I get it. I'm a mum of two and I’ve been in those early days as well, desperately craving a night out with my husband or a catch-up with a gal pal. It's actually when I wrote this guide, when I was preparing for my first 3 hour stretch away from my then-12 month old!

And as a responsive parent myself, I know you want to introduce another caregiver into settling in a way that’s loving and kind. I got you -  I’d never suggest anything I wouldn’t do myself!

The aim of this guide isn’t just to set you up for a singular date night. It’s to set you up with steps to widen your village of attachment, help build confidence and deepen relationships with other caregivers, and most importantly to do something for you time and time again.

Soon, you’ll be well on your way to:

✨ Enjoying a night out with your partner, dinner with the girls, or just a long bath alone (imagine!).

✨ Having a stronger support system. Sometimes, we have to be intentional about making our village. You’ll finally have someone else who can reliably settle your baby. Yippie!!

✨ Saying yes to plans sans panic. AKA feeling excited about the next wedding invite or last-minute night out.

✨ Reconnecting with your partner (which is no easy feat with babies and kids!).

✨ Seeing firsthand that your baby can settle with someone else when given the right preparation… and once it happens, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do this sooner😉

Got A Question?

Is this guide only suited for getting a partner involved or other caregivers as well?

This guide is geared towards getting your partner or other caregivers involved - no matter who it is, if they're not currently the primary parent (AKA - you!) then this guide is for them.

What age is this guide suited for?

While there are some strategies ffor older kids in the guide, the foundations and encouragement to set new patterns can be used from birth onwards!

Do I have to follow the 5 week plan exactly? Could we take a longer approach?

No, my friend! The guide takes you through a 5 week plan but you know what's best for you, your kiddo and the person you've chosen to care for them. You can shorten, stretch or pause each step based on what works for you!

You’re a mum, but you’re still you.

And you deserve time to do the things that make you feel like you.

Your relationship matters. Your friendships matter. You matter.

Getting a little time for yourself if that’s what you need, is nothing to feel guilty about. It just means you’re human, and you deserve it.

Date Night will give you practical tips to make that long overdue date night happen.

Let's make date night a thing again 💃
