Perfect for sleepy, responsive parents ready for arms-free naps or bedtime.
"Wow! There's not a single thing about transitioning to solo sleep that isn't in this guide. We're taking little steps towards more independent sleep and Solo Sleep helped prompt the purchase of a low "big bed" for our 2yo. I'll be referring back at our next stages of change. Thank you Hannah 💕"
Believe it or not, you CAN introduce independent sleep without resorting to non responsive, sleep training techniques.
But, I often see parents who…
Fear there’s no truly responsive way, so they continue with constant contact sleep even though it feels unsustainable
Decide one morning that “TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT” with no prep or planning and get discouraged when both them and their little one become really upset
Resort to sleep training even though don't want to do it (been there, don’t recommend it!)
I’m Hannah. And I’ve been right where you are.
Craving a little space from my barnacle baby but feeling lost on how to make it happen without relying on separation-based, Ferber-esque methods. (Because let’s be real, that’s what pops up on every Google search!)
Fast forward and I trained as a Baby Sleep Coach with Isla Grace, because I want you to have the options that I didn't.
Looking for a truly honest and gentle approach with no sleep training in sight?
Want to support your little one to sleep as well as is developmentally appropriate for their age and stage?
Feel it is important to respect your child’s temperament and development in order to foster their mental health…?
You're in the right place.

"I loved the layout and aesthetics of the guide, it was engaging and the language is so accessible. Coming from an ECE background myself I found the information consistent with my prior knowledge and love that there's references. I really appreciate that the language used is positive and felt reaffirmed and empowered that my instincts regarding sleep for my toddler are bang on, but should I wish to move away from co-sleeping I'm already setting a strong foundation."

TLDR: 6 months onwards!
Focusing on any of the foundational principles in the guide like attachment, bedtime routine, sensory input etc are GREAT things to introduce at any age. The current recommendations for SIDS reduction and solo sleep however are to wait until 6 months, so the practical steps to actually work on solo sleep are best to bring into play anywhere from 6 months well into toddler hood!
I think of these less as tricks & techniques and more as learning about what actually makes your kiddo tick, how their brains actually work, where they are actually at developmentally, and then supporting every aspect of that in a way that helps you move towards your goals! Things like looking at the different stages of attachment then using corresponding bridging separation tools, optimising sleep pressure, working on bedtime routines, learning about sensory input, bringing attention to red flags, educating around alternative sleep setups, tips on the transfer plus a BUNCH more big-picture items that usually get missed!
Absolutely! There's a bunch of info included around safe sleep which has been taken straight from Aus government regulations and the leading safe sleep authority Red Nose, but anywhere this is covered you'll also find a prompt to check the regulations in your own country. All of the base info around how to actually start achieving some solo sleep is going to apply to you no matter where you are!
Nope! There is absolutely no separation based behavioural techniques used with my approach, ever. No timed check-ins, no hands on settling in the cot, and no going against your instincts.
100%! Anytime your kiddo has historically been sleeping on you or out of the sleep space in any form, this guide can help you turn that around!
If you ever look at buying anything sleep related that offers guaranteed results - run!
Every single child is exactly who they are. Their sensory profile, their temperament and how their nervous system experiences the world is going to be a huge part of when and how quickly you start seeing some stretches of solo sleep. It's a dance with their innate developmental readiness, but we have so many tools and supports to get there when they're ready!
You sure can! Even if you're a few months under the recommended age to start practicing solo stretches, you can start to implement the foundations PLUS there's so much info that's useful around floor beds, safe sleep, cot setup, how to setup a side car cot, how to safely dress your baby, FAQ's around common sleep myths - so much value!
Why yes it does! There's a whole floor bed section including setup, types, FAQ's and external links with more info and support!
Absolutely! Most of the safe sleep info is taken directly from Australian Government regulations and Red Nose, with some other widely recognised safety sources around co-sleeping like BASIS, the Mother-Baby Behavioural Sleep Laboratory at Notre Dame University, and LLL.
You can make real, lasting changes to your child’s sleep without resorting to sleep training. I’ve been helping families do it for years!
You’re here because you know there’s a better way to move towards more independent sleep than just letting your baby cry it out or following one-size-fits-all methods (that don’t work).
You want to make changes but you also want to do it in a way that feels right for you and your child. I get it!
The Solo Sleep Guide provides you with the education and practical how-to’s for helping your baby or toddler transition to more independent sleep.
